Layne Wilks grew up in Branson, MO and graduated from College of the Ozarks in 2003 with a degree in Sociology and Psychology.  She has been working for The Kanakuk Institute since September of 2003 as the Executive Assistant to Keith Chancey.  Layne has been married to her husband, Chris, since July of 2002 and they just had their first child. Sawyer, this April.  Chris also works for Kanakuk Kamps as a Business Analyst in the computer department, and the two of them love working for such an incredible ministry.
