Inside a Kanakuk Institute Dorm Room

You will live at the K-Kauai Kampus located about 2 blocks from K-1. All of our condos will come with 2 twin beds, 2 armoires, 2 bathrooms, and a couch.  You will be responsible for bringing your own twin bedding.  Your rooms will not come with phones or computer hook-ups.  You will have access to computers at the Kanakuk Institute computer lab.  You will not be allowed to nail holes in the wall to hang pictures or paintings. Keep in mind that the rooms are fully furnished and space is limited.  Also on campus are the classroom, workout facility, dining hall, student lounge, and computer lab. There will be Wireless Internet in several locations, and TVs in the dining hall


What to bring:

  • All bedding (including pillows) for a twin bed
  • Cell Phone
  • Branson/Ozark friendly clothing, including a winter jacket, and dress code appropriate clothes for class (see FAQ # 4).
  • You can bring a computer for assignments, etc., but you won't be able to access the Internet from your room.
  • Towels
  • Mattress pad

     If you have them:

  • Sports equipment (i.e. softball gloves, cleats, golf clubs...)
  • Sleeping bag/Therma-rest for mission trips & retreats
  • Costumes
  • Vacuum cleaner

What not to bring:

  • TV
  • Land-line phone
  • Pictures that will only hang from your wall
  • Refrigerator
  • Microwave (or kitchen appliances of any kind)
  • Computer video games
  • Playstation, X-Box, Game Cube, etc
