In the past 48 years Gary has spoken to over two million people in live conferences.  Gary Smalley has appeared on national television programs such as "Oprah Winfrey", "Larry King Live", "Extra", "NBC Today Show" "Sally Jessie Raphael", as well as numerous national radio programs. Gary is founder and chairman of the board for the Smalley Relationship Center. The center provides conferences nation-wide, books, videos as well as a counseling center run by his son Dr. Greg Smalley.

Gary and his wife, Norma, have been married for almost 40 years and live in Branson, Missouri.  They have three married children: Kari, Greg, and Michael and lots of grandchildren.
