John Brown
·John Brown entered the University of Texas at Austin as a Marketing / Finance major preparing to take over a family business. However, after coming to Christ the summer after his sophomore year, he lost interest in business and changed his major to history instead.
He married his wife, Ngoc, in 1994. Ngoc, was born in Saigon, Vietnam, but escaped to the U.S. when Saigon fell in April of 1975. That summer (1994) she started nursing school and he enrolled at Dallas Theological Seminary. In 1999 John graduated from DTS with a Masters' of Theology in Church History.
In 2000 John began working with Denton Bible Church to help design and direct the Missionary Training Institute, a preparatory program for career missionaries. Later in 2007 he also began pastoring Grace Bible Church, a church plant of Denton Bible located in Sanger, Texas. John is still on staff at Denton Bible too, as "Director: Missionary Training Institute” and “Associate Missions Pastor.”
Ngoc currently works one day a week as an R.N. at Denton Regional Medical Center. The Browns have two children: Rachel Linh and Michael Binh.
